Costs, resources and profitability for every project

Planning drives cash flow. Commander links the plan to costs, the margin on every order and the payments forecast, so every decision comes with its numbers.

Finance in Commander: upcoming payments of €16,000, €18,400 and €26,000 and each project’s cost against its budget
Payments forecast

Every payment, linked to the plan.

If an order moves forward, so does its payment. The payments forecast for the coming weeks comes from the same plan your teams use, so it updates when the plan changes.

No separate cash-flow spreadsheet to reconcile by hand: what you move in the plan shows up in incoming payments.

What Commander tracks in costs and profitability.

  • Margin per order

You know what each order leaves you before you accept it, not once it has been delivered.

  • Cost of each alternative

Every alternative comes with its extra cost and its impact on incoming payments, so you can compare before deciding.

  • Budget against actual

Planned hours, logged hours and margin per phase, in real time, while the project is still open.

  • Profitability per client

In consulting, the cost, revenue and margin of every account, with each person’s billable utilisation.

My hours app on a phone: order 4471, 8 h of welding logged and 8 of 36 h this week
Actual hours

Actual against budgeted hours, without waiting for close-out.

Budgeted and logged hours usually get compared once the project has closed and nothing can be done. In Commander, everyone logs their hours from their phone with one tap, and the cost of the project or site updates by itself.

Hours come from My hours, part of resource planning, and are compared with the plan week by week.

Scenarios in Commander: bring the silo forward, subcontract the machining (€3,400) or move the maintenance (€0), compared by cost and CNC-1 load
Decisions

The cost of every decision, before you make it.

A client asks to bring an order forward and the CNC-1 milling machine can’t cope. Subcontracting the machining costs €3,400 extra. Moving a maintenance job costs €0, but a €6,200 payment arrives a week later.

You see both options with their cost and cash-flow effect, and compare them in a scenario without touching the live plan. If you would rather have the system suggest them, see how resource allocation is optimised.
